Discipline
We follow the district's discipline plan that is outlined in detail in the student handbook

Grading Scale:
Homework/Classwork= 30%
Quizzes= 30%
Tests= 40%
The letter grades corresponds to the overall percent in the following:
93 and above = A 80 to 82%= B- 67 to 69%= D+
90 to 92%= A- 77 to 79%= C+ 63 to 66%= D
87 to 89%= B+ 73 to 76%= C 60 to 62%= D-
83 to 86%= B 70 to 72%= C- 59% and below= E
Materials required for for class each day:
- Required textbooks as needed for each class
- Pencil (no ink pens please-credit will not be given for assignments done in ink)
- Folder/Binder to keep notes, assignments, etc organized
- Any assignments, projects, or work due that particular day
- No personal electronics in class (phones, ipads, etc) per school policy. May be left in locker and turned off or on silent mode.
Homework Policy:
- Homework is due the day after it is assigned unless otherwise stated
- Students will have as many days as absent to make up their work
- When a student is absent, it is their responsibility of the students to ask at the beginning or the end of the class of what was missed and what is needed by the student
- Late Work...If an assignment is not turned in when it is due, it can be turned in for half credit the following class period. The longer the time in between when the assignment is due and when it is turned in, the less credit the student will receive.

Students are expected to come to class ready to do the following:

- Call home and/or behavior report

Departmentalized/Team Teaching Concept
Mr. Webb (social studies/homeroom ELA), along with Mrs. Sir (math/homeroom ELA), and Mr. Richey (science/homeroom ELA) team teach your child by subject matter. I will be teaching the social studies & my homeroom ELA 5th grade curriculum. I am available every day between the hours of 7:30 AM until and/or around 3:30-4ish PM nightly or by appointment at your convenience as needed to discuss you child's progress, or any concerns that you might have. I'm looking forward to working with you and your child to make this a most enjoyable and successful 5th grade year.
